My Growing World Series
I was in Cappadocia, Turkey for my honeymoon and I wanted to capture some of the unique rock formations in the area. Volcanic activity resulted in several layers of rock in the area of varying hardness, and the uneven erosion resulted in the Fairy Chimneys, seen in this piece

Letters to Theo
some quotes from my inspiration, Vincent van Gogh
- There may be a great fire in our soul, yet no one ever comes to warm himself at it, and the passers-by see only a wisp of smoke coming through the chimney. (July 1880)
- I am getting to be like a dog, I feel that the future will probably make me more ugly and rough, and I foresee that "a certain poverty" will be my fate, but, but, I shall be a painter. (December 1883)
- I have nature and art and poetry. If that is not enough what is? (January 1874)
- How rich art is. If one can only remember what one has seen, one is never empty of thoughts or truly lonely, never alone. (November 1878)
